Hi, I am Stassney

I am a dog photographer based in the Pacific Northwest! I am the person behind Dakota’s Trail. Dogs have always been more than pets, they are family, adventure partners, and some of the most important parts of our lives.

Before starting Dakota’s Trail I spent four years as an Air Force photographer, where I learned how to tell stories through images. I captured impactful moments with intention and authenticity.

Why Dakota’s Trail?

Dakota wasn’t just my dog she was my soul dog. When I lost her to cancer I found myself returning to photos and videos of her to constantly remind myself of our memories. I am blessed I got to love her for seven years but it wasn’t long enough.

Losing Dakota showed me how powerful photographs can be, they become more valuable with time. Dakota’s Trail was created to honor her legacy and to help other dog owners preserve the memories they’ll cherish for a lifetime
